Google launched free SMS service in Gmail

A Useful and good service for Indian users which Gmail has been launched recently. Gmail users can send unlimited SMS to mobile users via gmail account with free of cost. Finally Google steps up to Free SMS service, Which makes a more competitive for free SMS services like way2sms site,

The only thing you have to do is to follow the steps given below :

  • Create an Google account (Ignore if you are already an user)
  • Login to your account
  • You can see a search box above your chat list which is used to search , invite or SMS.
  • Enter the mobile number of your friends whom you want to SMS.
  • Add them to your contact, and after adding it a chat box will be opened.
  • Enter the message what you want to send.
  • The user receives your message in their mobile mentioned with your email id.
  • Initially there will be a credit points of 50(50 messages per day). credit points will be reducing 1 per message.
  • The mobile user can reply to your message, the message replied by them will be displayed in your chat box.
  • When the mobile user replies to your message you will get the credit points of 5. But the limit of the credit point is only 50.
  • Thats it ! Enjoy the fun.

Google Offering the credit only for 50, Because to reduce the spammers and abuse of SMS channel, Also it gives one SMS credit after every 24 hours, there is no way to buy credit in Google, So only way to increase this credit by making chat conversation from Gmail to mobile and vice versa,

Way2sms already gives a free service for messaging service, it gives 100 messages / day, also it quit compete for yahoo SMS, which available for long days, But Yahoo SMS needs cost in case of sending message from mobile to yahoo,
